Yolanda Xiqiao Mao
My name is Yolanda Xiqiao Mao. I was nearly twelve years old when I wrote this book in the summer of 2021. I am a G7 student of UWCSEA Dover (Singapore), which I enjoy very much. Before that I spent my Primary years in the International Schools in Germany and the Netherlands.
I think the Young Author Scheme is a remarkable experience. It gives everyone a great opportunity to write with a positive attitude. At the same time, it encourages everyone to put a lot of effort in their stories with creative thinking. It also gives writers innovation in writing. The skills of how to make your own book is a new experience for me.
Writing brings joy into my life, I enjoy the process of creating and immerging into my own mind world. After I read a book, I always critique it and come up with various ideas of how it can be better.
