Peng Zihan

I want to thank the Young Author Scheme! Mentor Catherine taught me more techniques about writing and urged me to finally finish writing a book! I love writing since I was young. It enabled me to create a world that anything could happen – it all depended on me! Writing has accompanied me all the time. A little fun fact about me, I have the habit of writing my own diary as I can express my feelings while writing my diary. Believe me, it is very interesting when you read a short paragraph of your life you had written last time!

My inspiration came from a book. In the book, there are notes that give clues and make the main characters want to learn more. The Keeper of The Forest inspiration came from another book. In that book, the group also left clues for the main character. The hippopotamus part was my research. The only animal I found that is fierce and dangerous but cannot swim is a hippopotamus. It’s surprising but I promise it’s real. I really love writing but I dislike writing about science fiction. It’s really hard for me but I still try to. Hope you enjoy reading my book!
