Jason Wong
Hey there! I’m Jason Wong Min Yao, a Primary 5 student at Anglo Chinese School (Primary) (as of 2017).I’m a competitive swimmer but I also enjoy other sports such as badminton, cycling and golf. I am an avid reader and a fan of mystery and adventure stories, as I like the suspense that they put me in.I wrote my first book when I was in Primary 4. The chance came when I’ve been selected to participate in the Young Author Scheme in school. It was thrilling to be able to develop my keen interest in writing and to embark on my own journey of imagination, developing my own mystery stories for others to read. My interest in mystery was piqued when I started reading Sherlock Holmes and The Hardy Boys. When I read those books, my curious mind wonders about how such authors get their ideas and inspiration from, and what it’d be like to be writing a book. When started on my first attempt in writing for the Young Author Scheme, I had allowed my creativity to flow and put my ideas to paper. I felt like a true author! Besides, I was spurred by the excitement of having my own book published. Finally, when informed that my story has been shortlisted, I felt a great sense of achievement and satisfaction. This is definitely not the end, but instead the beginning of my writing journey. Till I’m able to sign off as a famous author, I hope you enjoy my book!
