Dilys Chuah
What do you call a dinosaur with an extensive vocabulary? A thesaurus! Hello! I am Dilys, I am 15 years old and this is what I have been doing ever since I wrote my story all those years ago–making bad puns. Since schoolwork had started to pick up its pace, I barely have any time to do anything else, which is why writing feels slightly foreign to me now. The last time I sat down to write something was probably four years ago when I decided it would be a great idea to write a story about a lady being blown away along with her umbrella for Mother’s Day. Thanks to school, I’ve tried all sorts of writing, be it argumentative essays or formal letters, however, narrative writing is and will always be my favourite. I do miss creative writing and to have my short story published means a lot to me as well, considering it’s the longest piece of writing I’ve ever set out to complete. Looking back at it, there are still countless areas I can improve on, and I hope I’ll get back in touch with writing soon.
