Nikita Vattas
Nikita Vattas is the author the short story, Fantasia. She is currently completing her last year of schooling at DPS International School Singapore.
It’s been four years since she attempted her first short story for the Young Author Award. Since then, Nikita has continued her writing endeavours and has also won a writing competition, in the year 2015, held by Civica Library Solutions. The competition was conducted to commemorate Singapore’s 50th National day. Nikita wrote on the Singapore housing development board and how it brought many changes in the country, for the better. The short story was published and printed in the form of an anthology comprising all the stories of the fifty winners.
More than stories, she enjoys penning down poems. She has written a great number of poems which are all published on her blog. In 2014, she completed her IGCSE examinations and did exceptionally well. She has been awarded a Gold Scholar Badge by her school for her academic achievements. Recently, she was given an opportunity to script, direct and choreograph a musical for her school’s annual day function. It was a great success!
She hopes to continue writing and performing as well as successfully completing her A-Levels and attending university next year.
