Denise Ang
I am Ang Yi Qing Denise of Rulang Primary School. I am turning 12 this June. I have enjoyed writing since I was exposed to the different genres of story books. I wrote my story during the December Holidays. Plotting and writing my story, JANE DOE, took approximately five weeks. My passion for writing started a long time ago. Ever since I was exposed to books, I have dreamt of writing my own story. My passion for writing is only getting stronger as the days pass by.I feel that The Young Authors’ Award Scheme is perfect for budding writers as it gives them a chance to explore the different possibilities of writing a story. It allows their creative juices to flow. It inculcates the habit of writing in youths instead of them being glued to their electronic devices. It provides a chance for them to be exposed to story writing and planning.
