Brandon Yong
My name’s Brandon Yong. I’m 13 this year, and 13 was the age that I wrote this book. I am currently studying in Kuen Cheng High School. I have always loved reading, especially genres such as action, crime, thriller and horror. My teacher knew about my interests, so she told me that I should start coming up with my own novels. I thank her for telling me that.
The Young Author Scheme is an ingenious plan to motivate the young generation to adapt the love of writing. I was always a fan of thriller and horror novels, but I couldn’t bring myself to have the patience and perseverance to write a novel of my own. Through this scheme, I finally managed to get some motivation and I wrote a horror novel of my own. I believe this scheme has motivated other peers in the same way, and I hope more people from my generation can pick up their pens and start writing.
