Greetings everyone. I am Shakira Zulaikha, a name bestowed upon me by my lovely parents when I was born into this world. I live in a family of five and I am the eldest of
three siblings.

I have a close relationship with two younger sisters, and we enjoy doing things together such as watching movies and listening to music. My loving and hardworking mother is a dedicated preschool educator and my father is a local celebrity in the Malay entertainment industry, who is passionate in his profession as a singer, songwriter and producer.

I am passionate about writing and I enjoy entertaining people with my stories. Writing helps me express my feelings through the usage of words and imagination. It allows me to be creative and to say whatever I want to say without talking.

I enjoy writing fictional stories about life because I believe I can relate and understand the thoughts and experiences of other people. The idea for my story came to me while I was watching a movie. I asked myself a question, ”What would it be like if I had an abusive and alcoholic father?”

I was then able to write and understand the emotions of a person who had been through such an incident. This really got me inspired to write more and be more expressive in my stories.
