My name is Sadhana and I am a 14 year old student from Cedar Girls’ Secondary School. I wrote Spark over the December holidays when I was 13 years old. When I am not writing, I can be found trying new recipes or reading a good book.

I’ve loved writing since I was 9 years old. I was first introduced to story writing by my father, when he saw me reading lots of books and suggested that I write stories myself. After that, I stumbled upon websites for me to
post my stories and my interest in writing grew. I found out about the Young Author Awards last year, when I was looking for opportunities to publish. I spent about a week planning and writing my story before sending it to the Young Author Awards, and I’m grateful to have received the chance for my story to be published.
