After the Young Author Awards (YAA), I started writing poetry. I suppose I was inspired by great writers such as Charles Dickens and tried writing poems myself. I tend to read other poems by great poets such as Robert Frost to see how they do it. I don’t think I’ll be ale to measure up to them but I’ll just keep trying!

Never have I ever imagined that I’ll have my book published one day. As a child whose first language was not English, it was quite unbelievable. Although I started learning English since young, I was not really fluent. But somehow, through my love of reading, I’m now better at English than at my own language! Slowly, English had become my first language.

Right now, I’m a Primary 6 student, and that means I’ll have to cram for the big exam to leave primary school— the Primary School Leaving Examination, more commonly known as PSLE. I’ll be having the jitters before the exam, but once it’s over, it’ll be over, and I can heave a sigh of relief. We’ll have to keep moving forward, and choose the road forward.
