Jan Fong was born on 14 June 2008 on the small island of Penang. He likes to pick up the occasional storybook and do the brain-wrecking math of choosing between chocolates or chips. You can find him trying new ice cream flavours or walking into some random bookshop. He thinks he could be an author, a scientist or a mathematician but he also wishes to step foot on another planet someday.

I would like to thank the Young Author’s Scheme for providing a platform for me to write a story. The Young Author’s Scheme has given opportunities to such gifted writers, as a person might have called it ‘a celebration of talent’. Writing is not only a language, but an art. It is my greatest honour to be amongst such people who paints vivid images not using a brush, but a pen. Once again, I would like to thank the Young Author’s Scheme for being the first stepping stone for to-be authors.
