My name is Cheyenne Christabel Chong. I am 11 years old and I am studying at St Margaret’s Primary School. My hobbies are reading, playing sports and writing. When I grow up, I will like to be a teacher so I can share my passion of writing to children. I am now 11 years old, and I wrote my story “The Disappearing Act” when I was 10. I started being interested in writing when I was 8 years old at school. My teacher was starting to teach us how to write compositions and making them more interesting by including some good words and phrases. Now, in primary 6, my teacher tells us to do a 5-minute writing every day. It allows me to think of good ideas in a short period of time. I enjoy writing as it allows me to express my thoughts on paper. When I write, I try to think of good ideas to write to make the reader interested in my writing. I want to win this prize as it will motivate me more to become a writer in future. Even if I do not win this award, I will still try my best to become a better writer.
