Confidence Boosters: Reading into Writing

For P3 to P5 (10 x 1.5 hours)

Reading into Writing is a unique combination of 3 best-selling programmes to help your child understand and grasp the nuances of English. The Reading Detective is an exciting new approach for students to read and comprehend stories and reports, predict word meanings, link ideas, and learn to question what they have read.

There is little time in a packed primary school curriculum to diagnose the source of the grammatical problems all students face, so we have done what busy teachers have no time to do: In English Rules! We have isolated the sources of common grammatical problems and tackled them in a carefully sequenced fashion that students find very enjoyable. How do you build vocabulary? A Wizard with words gives students a vocabulary booster shot in the arm: it broadens you child’s self-esteem, range of expression and comprehension skills.

Involve lots of humour and activity but has a strong product orientation and enormous spinoffs for exam performance at all high school levels.
