  • Visual Aids
We are bombarded by so many ads that scream for us to buy the latest fashion, the latest pair of shoes … Then I came across this very eye-catching poster, advertising, of all things, a “garage” sale when I was in Seoul for the recent Seoul International Book Fair. Check it out! Sometimes words become [...]

  • YAC – The First Session!
Last Friday, Sofia, Adeline and I had an amazing time at Woodlands Regional Library. We were at our first session of the Young Author Club. I must admit, we were a little nervous at first. We hoped the participants coming in would enjoy themselves, would listen and most importantly, would participate. The energy in the Everest [...]

Dear Parents/Teachers/Friends:

Welcome to The Unique Classroom.™ I developed this series using more than 15 years of my media experience coupled with innovative educational concepts. I worked with media experts and educationists, and what resulted from all this synergy is a think-out-of-the-box, highly-interactive and fun series of programmes to accelerate the teaching of English! The Unique Classroom™ programmes have found a niche in more than 150 primary and secondary schools since it was first introduced in 1996, with my school arm, Janus Education Services Pte Ltd.

Tell you a secret...

Writing has always been part of my life. In 2003, I discovered a bigger passion, empowering the young child with this passion. The Young Author's Scheme, which I specially created to bring out the author in your child, will not only inspire him to write, but also spark his confidence and patience. Can you believe it? I've had an 11-year-old who wrote a mini-novel of 21,000 words! So can your child! At this age, when they were thought capable of writing only 500-word compositions, these kids wrote stories ranging from 3,000 to 7,000 words. And the stories, are, well, in a word amazing! So if you think your child has to potential to weave his or her very own Harry Potter novels, but need the mentoring of professional writers, the Young Author’s Scheme would be just the programme for him.

That’s not all!

The very best stories from the Young Author’s Scheme are collected and published. Why not read the books to convince yourself? You’ll be immersed into tales of Ghosts & Ghouls, Magic & Fantasy, Aliens & Angels and Heartwarming stories. Defending earth against a bunch of aliens? Solving a 500-year-old mystery of a haunted mansion? Writing a secret diary? Or travel back in time in ancient Egypt to break a curse? These are some of the stories told in the Young Author's Club series, published by Experiences & Experiments Books. What if, well, you are just keen to boost your child’s creative potential or confidence in speaking in public or embark on geared-for-exam-success intensive English therapy, be assured you’ll be immersed in a totally new experience when you enter The Unique Classroom
